On Saturday, August 2nd and Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 - I, along with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, hosted a special event at Mel Lastman Square titled Revelation: A Good News Music Event. The purpose of this gathering was to boldly proclaim the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ through music, poetry, drama, and the preaching of God’s Word.
Now in its second year, the event carried a theme especially relevant for our time: Oh Canada, Apple of My Eye. This theme served as both a declaration and a heartfelt plea—one that calls our nation to remember and return to the righteous standards of our Sovereign God.
Oh Canada, Apple of My Eye reflects our deep concern that Canada has strayed far from God’s truth. It is a poetic reminder of God's authority over our land and our lives. It is a call to repentance—a call for Canadians to consider how far we’ve fallen and to turn our hearts back to Him. Throughout history, Yahweh has used music, poetry, and drama to express His love for His people, calling us into deeper relationship with Him. Yet, our disobedience and desire to go our own way has hindered our spiritual growth, and the results of that rebellion are evident in the moral decay of our nation.
As Proverbs 14:34 declares:
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”
On those two days in August, we proclaimed the only hope for Canada—the gospel of Jesus Christ—reminding all in attendance of these powerful words from John 3:14–21:
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned.

And the Gospel
​​Because of our first parents (Adam and Eve) you are lost and spiritually dead to God. You need to be found by Jesus so that you can be regenerated and filled with the Holy Spirit who then helps you to obey Gods law and commandments so that you can live a life that is holy and pleasing to God. Only through Jesus and and His atoning work on the cross are you able to abide and be kept in Gods love, so that you can grow and prosper and obey His teachings, and grow to become His handiwork and do the works that He has prepared for you to do. As a follower of Jesus, you are called to advance His Kingdom on earth and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who too are then called to 'Go' and do the same.
